Black: A self-taught visionary and Burkinabè fashion engineer, COMPAORÉ Abdoul Ben Isac is the founder of the brand BLACK, launched in 2012 and officially revealed in 2018 following his recognition at the Festival International de la Mode en Afrique (FIMA). Originally trained as an accountant and holder of a Bachelor's degree in Economics, he has turned fashion into a language of identity, freedom, and social transformation. His artistic signature lies in a bold fusion of traditional African textiles—such as Faso Dan Fani, Kenté, and Bogolan—with experimental materials including leather, rope, mesh, mop fabric, and plastic. The result is an avant-garde aesthetic rooted in African culture and innovation.
